Edie's Two Week Post-Launch Update

Edie's Two Week Post-Launch Update

Hi friends!!

Our site and brand have been live for nearly two weeks now, and it seemed like a good time to check-in.

Since Edie’s, I’ve reflected so much on how AMAZING my parents are. This relaunch truly would not be possible without their help. I’m currently living in Kenya as part of my post-grad gap year. And while the learning, growth, and exploration that has come from being abroad is… so priceless that it’ll probably be cheapened by description, it has been tough to be away from California during this key time in the business. My parents shipped me 4 cups of each flavor to make content with, which I intercepted in London on my way to Nairobi. I still haven’t held a full case of Edie’s in my hands even though 4,000 cups will be pouring out of production next week.

And so, with continents of distance between me and my precious cups, my parents have quickly stepped in and willingly turned our home into a mini-logistics center. My dad even made the leap the other day and invested in a thermal shipping label printer. My job is to make sure that we keep that thing hot, hot, hot!

When we first launched Edie’s in 2020, it was like free-falling. We had no blueprint, no expectations, and every inch of progress was exciting and hard-won. I remember getting Edie’s first wholesale order from a tiny vegan cafe. I think I smiled for the entire day. Things feel a bit different the second time around, but given how small we are, there’s still so much to do and learn. Just one of many examples is my recent exploration into TikTok. If you want to see what it looks like when a millennial born into a Gen Z-er’s body tries to be funny on the internet, check us out.

Lastly, I’m so thankful for everyone who has supported Edie’s during our relaunch. I’m going into April excited to see Edie’s back on shelves in stores around the Bay Area. We will be going into Village Market in Oakland for the first time next week, and returning to Wild Roots Market in Felton and Brentwood. Run up the numbers, fam! And, if there’s a place that you think we’d be a good fit for, give me a shout at edie@getedies.com.

See you in a few,

Edie
